Now Hear This! I’m Back!
Greetings everyone! Having finally returned from my latest deployment, I’m itching to get back in the saddle here at MBS. As expected, the last year or so has been exceptionally busy for me (I’ve been at sea for about 2/3rds of it!), which has made a complete hash of the normal update schedule around here. So, that being said, here are few things to look out for in the near future:
The Forum
Now that I can actually access the forum again (something I can’t do while underway), you can expect to see me in there a lot more, making posts, doing polls, and the like. Hope to see you there!
The Blog
I am going to do my darndest to get back onto a weekly schedule here on the blog, with the usual mixture of ponderings, product showcases, and battle reports. This is one area where I’ve been trying to work ahead a bit, so a have a little bit of a “reserve” built up of both topics and semi-completed posts. If you have a particular topic you’d like me to cover, though, please feel free to drop me a note!
The Podcast
Greg and I are looking to get the podcast back up and running on a monthly schedule, and our first new show, Episode 44, should be up in a day or so! We are as committed as ever to the show, though it is also something that requires a lot of coordination is always at risk of getting bumped by real-life priorities. Just like with the Blog, if there are topics of interest you’d like us to cover, please let us know.
YouTube
The MBS YouTube channel has been largely dormant the last couple of years, thanks to my schedule and family commitments. I’d like to start working on some more content for it as time allows. To be honest, though, this is a bit of a stretch goal at the moment. This has always been a bit of a goofy side-project for me, and far from the main effort of content creation. The biggest issue with it is that I don’t have a fast or efficient process for making or posting videos, and the ones that I do post don’t seem to get a lot of attention. As such, I usually find myself putting the time towards things like the blog and podcast instead. I’m not yet ready to completely abandon this part of the MBS project, so there will be new content in the future.
I’m really excited to be back and to pick up more or less where I left off. Until next time!
