Title: Topside Minis Review
Post by: Ruckdog on June 18, 2015, 05:51:05 pm
I recently took delivery of a fair number of ships from Topside Minis, thanks to a Kickstarter I backed last year. Here is my review!

That's a pretty interesting way to play a game. No doubt, those stickers are nice, but I think I prefer actual three-dimensional minis.

But hey, at those prices, you could have an entire navy's worth of ships for the price of one FSA battleship!

I must own all resin (and metal) before I must own all wood.  But it looks cool.  And a lot less stuff to schlep around.

That was my rationalization for why I needed these on top of my considerable War at Sea minis collection  ;D.  I figure that these will have a smaller footprint in my luggage on trips when I want to get some naval gaming in on the side. What I am really waiting for, though, is for them to release their Jutland set, as that is a much easier sell since I do not already have a set of minis for WWI ships.
