I've had my Valhalla boxed set for a while and never did anything but base coat and wash them. I've been getting kind of tired of my Hawker (they're good, there's just only so many fleet variants you can build with an alliance or league primary fleet) so I thought I'd get to work on these guys.

I'm pretty happy, so far. I'm not going to call them done till I get an air brush and glow out the engines. Not sure what color to use, though add I've already used a blue and orange.
I gave up on all those expensive magnets. They're great for x-wing but unwieldy for heavy resin. I bought a bunch of Hawk Games flight stand widgets and I think they're a much simpler, effective and importantly less expensive solution to spiny spaceships.

Those look great. It's good to see some colorful Terrans.

I like the color scheme! Can't wait to see it on the larger ships.
-
Great look!
I'd steal your color scheme, but my Dindrenzi are already a kind of grey and orange...
I don't want to do the standard terran white... I have a nice Red, but not sure of the counter color.

Wow...I'm in awe, Don! Your scheme looks great. I love the color combination; the grey-blue is especially nice 8)

Thanks for the kind words, guys. I haven't made much progress of late (I blame GTA V and World of Warships) but I got the bug after work today and I'm base coating like a madman. Fleet 76 Ball is getting some work done.

I've got a 1200pt game tomorrow that showcases the Apollo and Missionaries (surprise shunt!) and I was getting tired of flying bare resin.

Nice update! Looks like you have quite the project laid on :D
Hit me up in WoWS sometime!

Thanks, Ruckdog. I sent you an invite as Mauser1011.

No large updates of late. Tonight I've just been blocking in the black bits on several squadrons but after I got tired of it for the night I was looking at the carrier and these bits just screamed out to be made into port and Starboard navigation lights. It's got me scouring the other large models looking for a place to give them a similar treatment.

Very cool! It's little details like this that really make these models "pop" on the table. Great idea!
