I will definitely be taking a close look at this; I was never able to get too excited about X-wing, as I prefer capital ships. This looks like it might be right up my alley!

I'm with you, much more of a big ship kinda guy.  This could be cool.  I have a bunch of the SW: Starship Battles ships but never played that.

Now we need a BSG version as well.  Always wanted to take some Battlestars up against some Baseships.

This looks to have potential.  I have a lot of faith in FFG after the X-Wing game.  I just hope they try to get the scale as close to correct as possible for the capital ships (the starfighters would be almost invisible, so I understand that).

Can't wait to see game of this combined with X-Wing....

That would be an interesting mix!

The scale issue might be a turnoff for some...I have seen folks swear off Star Trek Attack Wing over similar scale concerns. The box set shown above makes me wonder; granted, the SD is the older, smaller Victory class, but it still looks too small compared to the medical frigate to me. Part of the challenge is that the exact size of SW ships is even less certain than in Trek!

That Victory SD looks amazing!

Also, there is another post that went up yesterday talking about how the fighters work:

Anyone get a chance to play this yet?

I haven't, and I doubt I will before it releases. I just won't have the time to make it to any of the shows where previews and demos are going to be given. :-[

Oh pah-shaw!  Gimme an Executor-Class.  The Dark hull color and red engine exhaust are much more reflective of Imperial dominance.

Hee hee, true enough. There is no way they will be able to do it in scale with the SDs they have already previewed, though. My guess is it will end up the size of the Rebel Transport and Blockade Runner they released for X-wing; much larger than the rest of the minis, but still too small to be truly scale.

Would just have to get a LEGO SSD, that should help the scale a little bit.
