 The ground combat "Horizon Wars" has certainly been popular - Has replaced both DS2 and Several older 15mm games as a recommended rules set in lotsof fora.

 So this might well be a good ruleset.

I went ahead and pulled the trigger on the PDF. I've been reading through it, looks very interesting so far!

A very interesting note with these rules is that they are designed to allow for 3 levels of play; the lowest level is starfighter combat, while the next level is small combatants, while the third level is battleship-level fleet engagements. When I get through the whole book I might throw some impressions together in a blog post.

I look forward to it.  I am a fan of Robey's designs, but have not seen enough to make a strong impression either way yet.
