Title: Online Survey about Tabletop Wargamers: First Academic Study on Wargamers!
Post by: MajorMcNicol on November 19, 2012, 11:46:52 am
So, I am a graduate student and this year I managed to create an independent study doing the first academic research about tabletop wargamers in America.  The main part of this study is an online survey - this survey opens today (Nov. 19, 2012) and closes January 2013.  Here is the link:

Please take this survey (but only take it once) - and feel free to pass it on to any wargamers you know, repost it, etc.   The main purpose of this study is to find out general demographic information about the specific subpopulation (American Tabletop Wargamers).

Moderators: any way we could make this a "sticky" or something similar?

Thank you!

To everyone on the forum: the survey ends on January 7, 2013.  If you have not taken the survey, please do so before then :)

I would, but you've asked only for Americans

@ Camthalion - Thanks for the offer.  I hope in the future more studies will be able to look internationally at the wargaming community.  Because of requirements in my graduate program and because of issues with my university's Institutional Review Board, I had to put in some pretty specific research angles.  The focus on American politics in this survey was one (limiting it to people over the age of 18 is another), and thus unfortunately excludes non-American-citizen wargamers.  Sorry for that, but maybe on the next one!  Thanks for the interest.
