This month, Greg and Andy welcome William and Micheal back to the show to recap how the Firestorm Armada events went at the Nova Open. Later, Greg and Andy discuss Firestorm Armada Task Force and Dystopian Wars Fleet Action, the two new “fast play” games from Spartan Games!

Great ep, I really enjoyed the review.
I hadn't thought about if Taskforce would actually permit a 3-Battleship per side size fight, but it just might. I still dislike the table, but the system does have a lots of great streamlines so that almost everything else seems a good idea.
Maybe for our Monthly game out here, we should give a BIG game of Taskforce or Fleet Action a whirl, just to see how REALLY whacky it is.

Thanks Dale! Yeah that would be fun, but the only Taskforce stats out right now are for the core six factions, not the smaller factions. They have, however, released Fleet Action stats for all the Dystopian factions.

Thanks for the feedback Dale! Another thing to consider, which we briefly touched on in our discussion, is that the damage table could be altered to make it a bit more deadly, by which I mean a damaging result can happen more reliably. On way to do it would be to make it a 2d6 table instead of 1d6, so that you have a probability curve to work with.
