This month's main topic is worthy of its own poll.

Thanks for posting this! Good idea.
I voted BFG, of course, because it's my favorite. It's not a perfect system, but I do feel like it plays smoothly, is not too fidly, and still captures the spirit of true carrier operations (launch, recover, rearm, launch again). I think the carrier mechanics from DW 2.0 are a close second, though!

I think having range limits with FsA is more realistic for deep space than bfg
But the differentiation of activities is better with bfg

I personally am a big fan of the Firestorm system.
With limited, and rusty, knowledge of the BFG system I think I liked it, but still struggled with it. I remember them being fairly ineffectual. I have 0 knowledge of the Star Wars Armada system. And the Halo system makes sense in the context of that universe and ruleset but is definitely not my favorite. Again, they are fairly ineffectual.
The restrictions to distance in Firestorm makes sense for the scale of deep space that they are trying to represent. The carrier "bubble" is a good way to handle the movement and activation of tokens, as well as provide an easy, but tactical method of intercept for tokens and torpedoes. And the list building doesn't get out of hand by restricting the type and number of tokens allowed.
I think it provides a functional, simple, and satisfactory system.
