OK, I only have two responses, so...

The 13th going once...

The 13th going twice.....

The 13th it is!

Since the only respondents were in the Denver area, we'll look to play at either Collectormania or Enchanted Grounds on Bowles Avenue. I'll call the venues and see about getting a table for us. I think it'll need to be Dystopian Wars, as Captain Rockman doesn't have any spaceships (yet!  ;) ). So anyone else who wants to pile in, let me know!

Hello.  Thanks to Landlubber for directing me to this site.  Is there a day in December anyone in Denver or Colorado Springs would like to play Planetfall?  I live in Littleton and just bought my first Sorylian core box.

Thanks.

Sorry, looks like I should have posted this up over at the Firestorm Armada thread.

No worries. We use this specific thread pretty much exclusively to schedule our monthly meetups, which are attended by at least a few of us.

I might be able to make the 13th work. I'll check with the boss tonight and see what I can do.

Cool.

I called Collectormania today about tables for the 13th. We should be good to go for 2 4x6 tables starting at 1100 when they open--that way we can run DW and Stephan and Zorper can run Planetfall if they would like. There is a Bolt Action tournament going on that day at Collectormania, but the guy I talked to said getting two tables shouldn't be an issue--he's going to check with the Bolt Action players and call me back if there are problems. Will keep you all posted.

If we get more than 3 DW players, this might be a good time to try out those small engagements that Quickdraw was talking about. That way we could probably get in a couple games apiece against different opponents.

Warhawk, long time no hear man! Glad you can make it out to play, should be a good time.

I talked to Collectormania again yesterday, we should still be good for two tables. They said the Bolt Action tournament that day should only take two of their 4x6 tables, so we can have the other two.

Sounds like a party.
Should we brainstorm a small event/scenario to play?

A scenario sounds good to me. Here are some spitballs. Let me know if they stick to anything.

We could run a protect resource vs. raid the resource. Maybe there is a harbor that is repairing aircraft carriers or battleships (the resource). Then smalls and mediums, air models, maybe a large, from the attacking force need to knock them out while dealing with actual defenders, smalls, mediums and air models, maybe some fortifications.

Escort/destroy some convoys.

Claim an island and hold it for a certain period. Maybe with 3 islands total and you get points for each turn you hold an island.

A night game in which anything further than range band 2 is partially blocked unless you can see the front, middle, and back of the target model. Spotters would help with visibility if they are within RB3 (and no, I wouldn't just spam with RC). Or something else along those lines.

See anything that sounds like fun?

For the Planetfall table, looks like we've got two interested parties.  Those games go pretty quick, so we can plan on multiple games

As we have one table for DW and multiple players I thought we could try a two sided scenario with allies.
I have an idea for a sector control scenario coupled with a decreasing VP system that could prove interesting.
It takes the diagonal deployment zones from a Firestorm Aramada scenario and couples that with sector control plus total victory points are counted from what you have remaining on the table at the end of the game. Instead of what you destroy of the enemy fleet.
If folks are interested in trying it I can post a full scenario rules synopsis and we can decide on fleets and MFV.

I'm easy. Any of the above sounds good. I could do convoy killing, or Quickdraw's sector control. Whatever you guys want works for me.
