Finished my Ice Maiden!

After a week of concentrated effort (basically, all of my free time, and staying up later than was strictly advisable a couple of nights  :D), my Ice Maiden is finished:

What a great piece of work.
How many paint pots did you have to empty for this monster of a ship?

I actually didn’t need that much! Using an airbrush for most of the heavy lifting made it pretty efficient to paint.

 Very nice indeed! I'm going to have to say this is a superb model and if it weren't for other factors involved in the Warcradle acquisition of the game I'd be really stoked up for the future of DW based on how well this has been produced- Leaving aside your excellent paintwork there, Andy! :)

 As it is I'm rather cautious. :/

 Still, again it's a well-done job, Andy and you should be pleased with the result :)

Ruckdog, great job as usual! You definitely did the model justice.

Did you free-hand the hazard striping on the doors, or were there mold lines to follow, or did you tape it off...? I've been thinking of using that effect in some of my projects as well.

On this project, the striping was already cast on to the doors. I just had to paint the yellow and black 😉. I’ve done some masked stuff for my FSA Terrans, though.

 It took me a month to edit it all together, and I'm not 100% satisfied with the result (I forgot to record some of the steps 😅), but I thought some of you might enjoy it just the same!
