The Swap Shop / Sorylian Frigates

I'm not sure where they came from, but I seem to have picked up three blisters of Sorylian Frigates.  If anyone is interested, let me know.  I really just want to get them off my shelf and to someone who'll actually use them.

The Swap Shop / CO Mass Spartan Mail-Order?

I normally like to pick up my figs from local stores, but in the case of some of Spartan's models, most notably the new Firestorm SRS tokens, they aren't offered anywhere other than the online store.  If we can get an order over about $162 (converted from pound sterling) we can get free shipping.  Sounds like a lot, but it's actually just over 11 SRS token orders (10 tokens per order). 

Tokens are available for all 6 of the major races as well as Kedorians (I'll order these), Works Raptor, Tarakians (more for me), Syndicate, Ryushi, RSN, Oroshan (more for me), and OmniDyne.

They also have the OmniDyne dread offered for sale online at a discount for those thinking of OmniDyne.

Any takers?  If there's interest here, I can also post to the League of Extraordinary Gamers facebook page if need a few more orders to get over the free-shipping limit.

DWCO Events / GenghisCon 2015

Greg and I were discussing options for events at Gen his and I thought I'd open it up to the forum to brainstorm.

I was thinking a relaxed, round-robin style tournament with awards for sportsmanship and painting as well as best general.  Ideally, I'd like to have a DW tourney and a FSA tourney on separate days, followed by some kind of event for experienced players only.

For the DW tourney, I was thinking we'd stick to Air and Sea.  Maybe 1000 pts each.  I'd like to use scenarios with specific objectives as well so it isn't just line up and shoot.

Thoughts?

Started work on my Aquans again.  Here's two in-progress ships, the Battleship and the Carrier.  Step 1 is to prime in GW Ultramarines Blue.  Step two is wash in Guilliam Blue to add depth.  Step 3 is to catch some of the recesses in white as a precursor to washing those recesses in a home made bright purple wash.

Dystopian Wars / The Great V2.0 Thread!

I thought I 'd open this discussion to let people compare notes on V2.0.  When 1.5 came out I found that there were lots of little aspects of the rules that individually folks had looked over and it wasn't until we'd compared notes that the full set of changes became apparent. 

I'll kick it off by noting that Linked Fire now works a lot like Firestorm Armada, but with the distinction that halves round UP.  So, now Linking is:

<focus weapon's AD> + <ROUNDUP(sum of all supporting weapons' AD / 2)>

DWCO Events / Tacticon 2014

So, what are everyone's thoughts on going after a Tacticon event?  I could probably re-run the War of the Worlds event, but I'm thinking some kind of open play of DW would go over better.  We could put together some good terrain tables and just use it as a chance for folks to get to know each other and play against a wide range of fleets.
