I am looking for a second round for X-Cam this weekend. Friday is my best day, I should be able to make a saturday or Sunday game as well.
I am available for a recon game or a Strategic game.
Last Rites can you add or send me the numbers I earned last Sunday.
I am interested in fighting the Italians
VADM LokeRoze interested in testing your Otts?

01. Ruckdog - RoF: 0/0/0 (0)
02. VADM LokeRoze - Ottomans: 0/0/0 (0)
03. Last Rites - FSA: 0/0/0 (0)
04. Long Nine - Italians: 0/0/0 (0)

Been a mess with work, but finally here are the point totals from the game last weekend!!

Long Nine - 9/0/0 (1)
Big win on the Italians over the FSA in a meeting engagement here. Was honestly surprised by how well of a thrashing they gave my Air Recon list.

K1ngv - 0/0/0 (1)
K1ngv's French attempted to ambush CDR-G's twin french fleet and got thoroughly shellacked in the process.

CDR G. -  9/0/0 (1)
CDR-G rolled an exploding GAME in our introductory bout, and continued the streak.

VADM LokeRoze -  3/0/0 (1)
Don't be fooled by the low score for the Ottomans right now. Having played them several times now, I can confirm that the menacing clouds in the distance are moving closer.

Last Rites - 14/0/0 (2)
With two games under the belt and batting a solid .500 This could be an interesting X-Cam for the FSA. ***addendum: my first game was against The Italians, followed by another against the Ottomans***

Statboard updated! Apologize for the delay. I added K1ngv to the list, and switched my allegiance to PE since there are already a few RoF players on the board (in the interest of diversity ;) ).

Before heading out of town last week, VADM LokeRoze and I played a Strategy mission. I spent the 5 Recon to challenge and rolled the "Assassination" mission. He's working on the brief, but here is the end score to my defeat for the stat tracker.

Last Rites = 495 VP for 5 strategy and 4 recon
VADM LokeRoze = 520 VP for 5 strategy and 4 recon

Campaign totals:
Last Rites = 13/5/0 (3)
VADM LokeRoze = 7/5/0 (2)

Looking forward to seeing how others games are progressing!

Got in a strategy game after Easter dinner last night. Ham, destruction, and exhaustion from another long weekend on the road...what a night.

Opponent was VDAM LokeRoze in what was my 3rd Running the Gauntlet mission  :( in recent games. I challenged, as my FSA supplies desperately needed to be delivered to the campaign. Giving up the 5 Recon points, along with an additional 2 Strategy points. This pushed the points total for the game to 900. Not exactly breaking the bank, but why the heck not! Truthfully, I did this to fit the Saratoga into my list...which I realized after was still sitting in my condo 20 miles away. Five options for terrain were placed randomly, in what ended up being a near perfect circle around my deployment zone. Must say, this D10 random placement is actually quite fun. Back when we would use the "grid" placement system, the lay of the land if you will  :P , didn't look so hot. While planned terrain is not balanced, but can look stunning. The D10 method has proved a happy medium. Battle itself was rather quick. The ottomans came out strong collecting frigates, and damaging the Lees squadron. However, they weren't able to get enough hits when it mattered on the Battleship. Meanwhile my forces were able to clear out the ottoman cruisers and heavily damage the rest of the fleet. Allowing my Battleship to come close enough the board edge, and with no real threats nearby, to force submission. Finally a Running the Gauntlet Win!

FSA = 650 VP 12 Strategy 5 Recon
Ottoman = 350 VP 2 Strategy 3 Recon

With the clouds dissipating around the Americans forces, things have once again taken a turn for them. Meanwhile the Prussians seem charged and ready to blitz forward. The French have a hold on their new home, with rumors of heavy reinforcements joining their cause. Whilst the Italians prime for another dash into infamy. Great campaign so far, and curious to see who will claim The Control Point advantage!

Campaign totals:
Last Rites = 16/17/0 (5)
VADM LokeRoze = 10/7/0 (3)

So are there any X-Cam players looking to play this weekend?
Nothing down here in Fredericksburg. Anything up elsewhere?

Title: Latest battle: 2014 X-Cam Stat Board
Post by: CDR-G on April 27, 2014, 10:28:25 pm
Last Rites and I tried to do a 1400 point Control Scenario. Unfortunately I needed over two hours to 48 miles on a Sunday afternoon. We ended up, after set up with about two hours of playing time. We slammed through the second turn. but hardly got grips when we had to call it.
Too bad, it had the makings of a great battle. His FSA, with no BB or Dread, but a squadron of two Aussie BC and a unit of nasty frigates, plus that annoying New Orleans- repair ship of the Gods and a tasty Black Wolf Death Bringer. Froggies had their own Death Bringer and a Black Wolf BC. Plus the usual Corrone, La Rochelle, Tourbillon, Voltaires, Epaulards and Chevaliers. Trying to max the range attacks.
I was able to sink one of the Aussie BCs and pounded the Augustas and the Protectors. He hit the elusive Requins, and a Chevalier. The Nemisis lost its ablative Armor and took a mother point. The Voltaires, Epaulards and Torpedo TFTs acquitted themselves well. as did the Black Wolf which failed to panic dive twice. If we try this again, I am not sure what I would change. Last Rites will write a better AAR. I will try to post a photo or two.

All yours on the write up, CDR-G. Just took a look at the schedule for this week, and don't think I'll have time for it. Good game, and truly did enjoy the chess match aspect of Turn 2. I honestly thing the chess timer will save us a good bit of time.  As we discussed, I'd like to actually finish this match. Perhaps this weekend we can shoot to try again, as the GV is open much later.
