Played two games with my French today against MajorMcNicol's Russians:
Game 1
Players: 2
Mission Size: Recon
Mission Type:Escape To Base
Core Force: Naval
Terrain: One island, for the base
Accumulated Campaign Points
* Recon: Ruckdog - 13, MajorMcNicol - 8
* Strategic: N/A
* Control: N/A
Game 2
Players: 2
Mission Size: Strategic
Mission Type: Assassination
Attacker: Ruckdog (-10 RP cost)
Core Force: Naval
Terrain: 7 Pieces, random placement
Accumulated Campaign Points
* Recon: Ruckdog-8, Major McNicol-10
* Strategic: Ruckdog-8, MajorMcNicol-6
* Control:NA
So, factoring in the 10 RP I payed for the second game, these are the final point tallies for the day:
MajorMcNicol: +6 SP, +18 RP
Ruckdog: +8 SP, +11 RP
Had a really great time playing MajorMcNicol today! He managed to give my French forces a rough handling in the second game, capturing both my battleship and my battle carrier as prizes. Can't wait to play him again! We'll be getting some pictures posted soon.

It was a series of great games. Both were close. Victory points in the second game were only 726 to 725 in my favor - hardly a victory. I may have taken both the French battleship and carrier as prizes (and an all-important frigate), but lost my battleship as a prize as well as a series of ablative-armored ships.
But most of all, over the last three games (two with Ruckdog and one with the Mad Doctor) I learned how to play! Thanks guys.
