Title: Raiding game

Has anyone seen a historical/fantasy version of dropzone?

Edit: Maybe something like Fighting Sail and On the Seven Seas, not sure how either of these play?

They are not like Dropzone at all....

Nice reviews, but it sounds like they'd play pretty much as I thought.  I was thinking a map based campaign, using Fighting Sail for naval battles and On the Seven Seas for landing parties.  It does sound like I could find better games to combine this way though.

Take a look at Sovereign of the Seas by Columbia Games for the map portion. GW's old Trafalgar isn't awful with a few mods and there is always Heart of Oak.  David Manley's Grand Fleets (IIRC?) is good for big battles.
