Stephan's Terrans
« on: January 29, 2015, 11:18:38 am »
I'm almost done with the Terran Battlestation.  I need to do some clean-up on the flat acrylic pieces (the gray structure on the outside), but it's relatively minor.  I just wish they'd have put some detailing on those pieces because they're completely flat and smooth, which is a stark contrast to the rest of the model.  I've also included a pic of my Dread for comparison with the rest of the fleet's color scheme.

Nice scheme! I really like the color combos. The station really looks great!

And yeah, I have to echo your sentiment regarding the laser-cut acrylic parts that seem to be creeping up in Spartan's terrain sets. I have a few examples that have me scratching my head on what to do about dressing them up with additional detail to help blend them in with the rest of the model!

Station looks awesome, Stephan, can't wait to see it on the table.

I know what you both mean. Those acrylic parts are in the Shadowhunter set as well, for the Wani floating base. Seems like a wasted opportunity to add detail.
