I'm good for whatever. 2 on 1 would be preferable to 1 on 1 on 1. That way the single player could field a crap-ton of points, and the other two could split their forces.

I would be comfortable playing on whichever side, as the lone player or the cooperative side. What's our point level? If I'm on the cooperative side, I'll probably bring all air units (FSA), if that's OK with you guys.

I think Quickdraw mentioned 2000 points?

FSA Airforce sounds cool. I could put together a land force to support them, or I can bring 2000 pts of Slavs. No biggie to me.

Do you want an ally, or to go alone Quickdraw?

2000 is about as large a game as we can get on one table I think. It'll help flesh out the fleets of the alliance.
I'm hoping to field my new Ottomans but that won't work great with the Slavs or FSA. We can combine our Russian forces easily or I can drop in some Australians in support of the FSA Air Force. Either option works for me.

I could run my new EBS with the Ottomans. I know you just got them and are itching to run them. I'd like the chance to get the EBS wet too (I've never been on the wrong side of justice). We would both be learning new fleets though, and that could add to the time it takes to do a turn. Also, I don't think either of us would have any air units to counter 1000 pts of FSA.

I'm not wedded to bringing 1000 points of FSA aerial units. I assumed this would be a naval game, and I thought I would bring the air component to support my partner's naval forces (if I was on the co-op side).

Here's the thing: at 2000 points, I can field a) all naval FSA, b) all naval RoF, c) combined naval/aerial FSA, d) combined naval/aerial RoF, or e) combined naval/aerial CF (mostly naval in that case). Whether I'm on the solo or co-op side (i.e. whether I'm fielding my own 2000-point force or I'm fielding 1000 points in co-op) , that's what I can bring to the table. I would *prefer* to play my FSA models tomorrow, but I'm not wedded to that either. I can't field 2000 points of aerial models for either the FSA or RoF, but I can field 1000 points of FSA aerial models.

If you guys want to play a land game, I'll be relegated to supplying air units, as I don't have any land models to speak of and I'm not up on the land rules.

And there's the stick in the mud. I'm REALLY hoping to put some Ottomans on the table. So I can easily be the loaner and use my French and Ottomans.
On the other hand we don't have to stick with traditional alliances and Ottomans and FSA could join forces (unfortunately, if you know your Dystopian Wars history, there is absolutely no way Ottomans and Russians would end up as allies).
Let's stick with naval core because I don't think we have land units and none of us can bring 2000 points of air.

Well, we'd love to see your Ottomans on the table as well. :) I see two options for us:

1. Rockman has said he'd like to see a crap-ton of Slavs on the board. Let's make him the solo player, and you can I can team up with your Ottomans and my French against him.

OR

2. You can combine your Ottomans and French into a 2000-point list (I can spot you some French models if you need them to get to 2000, not sure how many points you have), and Rockman and I can run his Russians/PLC and my FSA against you. If we do that, I might throw in some Aussies just for the sake of variety. I don't have the rulebook in front of me, but I *think* Russians and FSA are both Grand Coalition, and the Ottomans and French are Imperial Bond, so that would work.

Thoughts?

Let's do option 2.

Landlubber and I can run GC against the bad guys.

Sounds good to me! I'll build a 1000 point FSA or FSA/RA fleet tonight.

OK folks, let's start thinking about a December date to get together.

I'm free the first three weekends of the month (5-6, 12-13, and 19-20 December). I would prefer to get together on a Sunday, but I have no preference for location or game.

Thoughts?

The 5-6 or the 19-20 work best for me. I would prefer Saturday's but Sunday is totally fine too.

December starts tomorrow...anyone else want to weigh in for available dates? I'm thinking the farther back from Christmas, the better, just due to holiday things.

I could do the 5th or the 13th.

Quickdraw and I have a game the 5th though, so he would have to agree to a larger game.
