Thanks Ruckdog, but I should have been more specific, I'm looking for something bigger than that, roughly 12".  I don't know what the scale would be for an AoS ship, in a WWII ship it would be around 1:900 I think.  Something for decoration rather than gaming.

I agree, I really want to see an Honor/Detweiler showdown, but from what I've read Weber had the entire series worked out before he started On Basilisk Station.  I've generally found that people who plan like that lack a little in flexibility, but it might just be a case that Honor takes a back seat for a couple of books because other things need to happen.

Edit:

Shadow of Victory is parallel to Rising Thunder, or even leads up to it, continuing from Shadow of Freedom.  I was so disappointed that Ive stopped part way through and started reading Mr Midshipman Hornblower instead.

According to my research, Shadow of Victory follows a rising thunder, but it doesn't focus as much on Honor so it hasn't been named as part of her series.  I have just got a hold of a copy and I'm reading as much as I can, so I'll let you know.

I finished "A Rising Thunder" three hours ago, and I'm just at the point where I can post this without swearing.  Please tell me there is some indication of a 14th book at some stage soon?

Can anyone recommend a good manufacturer of ship model kits, particularly age of sail, I'm having a lot of trouble finding kits online?

I really like the look of the EotBS ships, unfortunately I have lacked an oponent since I purchased my small fleet

Endless space looks beautiful, unfortunately my laptop os provided by my employer and has only a basic graphics card, so for me that's a disadvantage.  Watching some game play videos, endless space seems to trump stellaris in almost every aspect, with the exception of allowing custom species.  I also prefer RTS over TBS, but that's just a personal thing.

Naval Video Game Discussion / Stellaris

Thought I'd recommend Stellaris here.  Space based 4X RTS, millitary actions revolve almost entirely around naval warfare.  I have personally found it highly addictive, and racked up close to 50 hrs of gametime while working bush for four weeks.

This mostly applies to space navy settings, does anyone have a hard and fast rule for which name is appropriate when?

Awesome episode, loved the descriptions of naval ship classes.  Any chance you could do a follow up looking at age of sail, ship of the line ratings etc?

I live in the driest state of the driest continent in the world, finding a low humidity day will not be a problem, but it'll probably delay me a little.  Thanks for the help, I really want to get these ships painted right.
