Title: Firestorm Armada- Meeting engagement, Oct 14th
Post by: Metal Carnage on September 30, 2012, 07:28:56 pm
We'll be meeting at FTW around noon.

Bring a fleet totaling 500, 750, or 1000 points. I'll have some extra fleets available for people who've played the demos but haven't decided on a fleet yet.

Looking forward to seeing how your event goes tomorrow!

3 people showed up. While I'm mostly against 3 way battles, we did one anyway each player brought 1k mfv to the table. I was actually suprised that the orders are written in such a way that you can play with more than 2 sides in a game and the objectives still work out. Sadly there was only a pic of the start of the game but when I get my friend to send it to me I'll post it with a rough overview.

Sounds like it was a success! I too have found that FA (and DW) work well with 3 players; that kind of setup seems to be a real strength of the integrated turn system.

I have made no real progress on painting any ships from either fleet, but I'm hoping to play a game after the DW event at the end of the month.

Three players isn't a bad showing at all.  Were they all experienced playing FA?

Yes, one hadn't played in quite a while. he fell in the black hole of real life, and the other one has been the target of my guns on a relatively frequent basis. I'm waiting on a pic to post. Sadly, I didn't think to prompt anyone to take turn by turn pics.
