I've played wargames off and on, mostly solo, going back to my very first: Victory in the Pacific. Brief moment of silence for Avalon Hill...
Always been interested in military history, particularly the Pacific theater in WWII. WWI gun battles are a more recent interest. Games I've played, or am interested in, include Seekirieg IV or V, the GQ series, and Harpoon on the computer.
Some space games on my list, too. Starfleet Battles. Have owned versions of that since Wrath of Khan was in the theater. Starfire. Own, but have not played, Starfleet Armada. I would *love* to find a game that would cover the old anime show Starblazers, preferably at a detail level close to Seekrieg or SFB.
Anyway, I recently found the podcast and am inspired again. :)

Welcome aboard! Glad to have you.
Regarding Starblazers, are you aware of the Starblazers Fleet Battle System?

No problem! I've had the books for years, but I've never gotten around to playing.
By and by, where do you play in the Seattle area? I was stationed in Bremerton from 2007-09, and I used to play at the old GW Bunker in Bellvue, Comics Keep in Bremerton, and down at the Games Matrix in Tacoma.

Play? Pretty much at home on the dining room table or PC. :) Play mostly solo over the years. Farm towns in eastern Washington aren't rife with players. By the time I got to college, it was habit...
I'd ventured into the GW bunker to buy some things before I soured on GW. Game Matrix has pried my wallet open more than once, but it's a 30+ mile drive from where I live in Renton.
