There was someone looking for one on Facebook about a week ago. Might be worth a shot, Firestorm Armada shipyard is the group he posted in.

Firestorm Armada / Re: [Project] Firestorm Taskforce - Stat Cards

It's an ambitious undertaking. I like the idea about using the older models as alternative stat lines, but it's something that may be an issue with limited availability. That was one of the reasons we decided to give them all the same stats for 2.0. Maybe consider keeping the all the names on any alternative builds or putting a disclaimer so people can choose between builds for the models they have.

I think a card only expansion could have great merits for any kind of wargame, especially as expansions for naval games which don't have a great need for a large model line. So I'd say other, they would be good as a replacement for new models in lines which can be limited due to IP restrictions (star tek as seen here, but any property with a developed background and limited numbers of ships would apply). It can also apply to game company's properties as well though.

I can't help but throw SG out there on something like this. Imagine if they would have had the forethought to introduce expansions to their games as something similar. Instead of things like the planetary invasion fleets and task force which were pretty mich flops they could have instead released simple and cheap (both to acquire and produce) expansions consisting of ship cards to run the existing models as alternative types, updated TAC decks to support the alternative game types, even objective type cards possibly. Pair that with basic card terrain and a small rule book for a complete expansion. Suddenly instead of a bloated model line to support people can use the same ships for multiple purposes and the company can redirect people back to their main lines.

News and Rumors / Re: SPARTAN CLOSING

Mini campaigns are certainly an option, but I believe Ruckdog has something coming up soon on that already and given the number of games spartan had it's probably best to focus on something simple that everyone can take part in if we do this. I think a paint challenge or a lore(writing) challenge would be something engaging that people from all game systems could participate in, but I'm sure there might be other options we could come up with as well.

Hey guys, yes I'm still alive and out of lurk mode obviously ;) While the current mood is a bit doom and gloomy in spots online after SG's announcement I was thinking of what we could try and do to help lighten the mood. What do y'all think about hosting a for fun event on the forum? Maybe something with some nice badges or banners like you see on some other hobby forums? Just to show people that the community is still strong and planning on sticking around.

Edit: obviously while blasting it on the various social media sites for the games  8)
