General Discussion / Re: Thoughts on a Fall Campaign

I've been seeing a few "global" campaigns for various games around the internet, and I was thinking it might be fun to do one here on MBS. The basic idea would be that players simply report their game to a tracking thread via forum post, and we keep score between various sides. Would anyone else be interested in participating? Also, which game system or systems would you be interested in using? I was thinking probably DW and/or FSA.

I have a ton of experience runnign these for Aeronautica Imperialis on the Airspace forums.  They are great fun, but can be a ton of work for the organizer.  You will have a ton of heartache unless you are doing it only for your own enjoyment, because you will not get much back from it. 

After Forgeworld pulled the plug on the Aeronautica Imperialis line, participation dropped rapidly so witht eh death of Spartan Games you might see something similar happen here.

The Shipyard / Aquanautica Imperialis Fleet Pictures

With the recent implosion of Photobucket, it forced me to dig in to my old picture archives.  I found a few old treasures there for games of Aquanautica Imperialis.

All of these models are scratchbuilds using common Sculpey and other found materials. 


This is an Imperial Plantary Defense Force fleet squaring off against some Ork raiders.

I should bust these models out of storage and get a proper photoshoot for them posted.

Roll Call / New Gamer from Minnesota

Greetings Forumites,

I am a new wargamer to the board, but have been gaming since 1985 or so? 

Sadly, not a ton of Naval gaming here but I have done some Age of Sail, Ancients, Harpoon Map and Chit stuff, and Sci-fi/Fantasy style stuff. 

I mostly play Posiedon's Warriors (Osprey), Imperial Skies (Brigade), Castles in the Sky, and Aquanautica Imperialis (Blood and Spectacles) now-a-days.
