Roll Call / Back for a few weeks

Not really new here, just been away for a long while. And only back for a few weeks, but thought I'd shout out a Hi!

Live in northern VA (Woodbridge) area, part of the Iron Fist League that games at Patriot Games (formerly FlashBack Comics). DW EotBS, KoB and FSA fleets. Used to game 40K very heavily but don't care for the current rules so not so much in it any more.

Plus one of us gets 5 more for winning, but we weren't quite sure on this. I killed 375 points of his force (he had one frigate left) but he killed all 300 of mine. Who wins?

Yeah, Chris's Russians weren't in yet so he pulled together a fleet from my COA models and then proceeded to beat me with it. I was the challenger.

Whilst on a patrol a small force of EotBS frigates spotted a slightly larger force of FSA unawares. Calling in a nearby Ika, the Empire ships managed to Ambush the unwary Americans and annihilate them, showing them the hazards of sailing too far from home.

After a refit and repair, the frigates continued their patrol in more southerly waters, and spotted a CoA force. Communications with HQ requested a reconaissance of the CoA force, so the frigates moved in to perform the mission. Once again they managed to bring a nearby Ika into the conflict and once, again, they destroyed the entire enemy force.

Gathered intelligence suggested that a larger element of FSA naval forces were in the area, possibly searching for the destroyed squadrons from the earlier Ambush. An EotBS task force was sent to meet them and, if possible, to eliminate the Independence class Battleship known to be in the fleet.

Roll Call / don_mondo, Woodbridge, VA IronFist League, DW EoBS, KoB, CoA

Don Morris aka don_mondo reporting. Just started getting into DW over the last couple of months. I'm part of the IronFist League in Woodbridge, VA (www.ironfistleague.com). While primarily 40K gaming group, we play a variety of other games, 5 or 6 of us playing DW so far. Main fleet so far is Empire/Blazing Sun but have the starter fleets for both KoB and CoA with a few extra ships for each. After all, gotta have a spare fleet to give newbs a chance to try out the game.
