 Hey all, long time no see! Too busy playing 2.5 and converting "new" craft.

 A question - Does anyone recall the 6 engined bomber that was offered at IIRC Salute one year, the Valkyrie? And would anyone have the stats?

Space Naval Games / Played in a SW Armada Tournament!

Played in a local SW armada tournament yesterday! Just 4 of us, so 3 rounds was perfect to get a chance to play everyone in else. There were two Rebel players, including me, and two imperial players. First game was a bad loss, second game was a solid win, and third game was a narrow loss. So, a 1-2 record, good enough for 3rd lol. Here are some pics!

I got to choose 0!  In 2022 I finished off my backlog and have been slow to pick up a new project.



Right now, I have been working on 6mm Egyptians and Hittites for a Battle of Kadesh scenario.  I also have 10 Kill Team models to paint. 

For 2024, I am mulling a buy into a Naval game but have not decided if I want Victory at Sea, Dystopian Wars, or something completely different! However, that won't be until the last of my Hittites get painted up.

My hat is off to you, sir. It was bad enough when I had to go to the store to expand my pile of shame...now that I can just print thigns to add to it, the pile has only grown lol.

Good job on detailing all of the considerations before diving into naval games!

If there is a follow-up video, what about case studies in individual played games that you experienced or saw, specifically on your key cost decisions?  i.e. We began playing X after discussing X, Y, and Z... A vetoed Y due to the lack of "blank" and B preferred X over Z despite their being tied on "blank" but with X having greater support of "blank"?

Interesting idea! I'll add that to my list of video ideas to consider. I don't know if I've really ever had that specific scenario happen to me personally. In general, I've either been in the position of being the advocate for a game that no one else was playing at the time, or else joining in with a group that was already playing a given game!

Talking through an example of how I came to play or collect a given game would be a fun discussion, though.

So, I can honestly say that I easily have between 100 and 200 unpainted naval models in the ol' Pile of Shame 

A lot of that are the various fleet boxes that I snapped up when Spartan went under; at 10-15 ships a pop, it doesn't take too many of those boxes to rack up a good sized bare-resin fleet! So, that puts me in the thick portion of the bell curve for the survey, it looks like.
