Nail- good to see you back. I would really like to see 2.5 completed. Also taking a quick look at FA to see if there is anything in it worth keeping-the combat resolution changes did nothing for me- it certainly didn't speed it up and the results tables were out of wack. While the 2.5 tiny flier changes had some good ideas, but could be improved. Really wanted to see the national tailoring promised for generators and special weapons. Would enjoy discussing it and trying something out.

Meanwhile I will setting up some DW 2.5 games at GEN CON. Likely a demo and 1-2 competitive games. I did this in 2015. We'll see if it works. I will be looking to play 3.0 while I am there. (Along with some X-Wing).
If anyone is going to GEN Con this year and wants to play some DW2.5, friendly or official, let me know. If I have some players ahead of time it will help with getting it on the schedule and when to schedule it.

While I voted for the "update" choice I will prefer to play a better edited 2.5. If Warcradle decides to "not support" legacy models in any meaningful way, I may play 3.0, but I won't buy any of the new models. Natural consequences. If they do support the legacy models I would buy the new sets- because that's an honorable trade. Either way I will be looking for 2.5 games

Sigh, I am scheduled for a game at Huzzah Hobbies on the 8th.
I am interested in try the Fleet Action rules so keep that in mind. I could do a Friday night or another time.

DWVA / DW games at Game Vault on Sundays

I am setting up a game time at the Game Vault on Sundays noon to close. Players can do X-Cam, pick up games or my own Campaign which I will post a bit alter- but is essentially scenarios with (player chosen) 825 or 1020 point set fleets that can change by 20% by battle.
I will be there This sunday with my French and my new Eclipse company.
If any are interested let me know, or just show up. ( Let me know if you will be there later than 1:00 PM)

So I will be joining X-Cam. This Sunday at E&E.
Brandon what is the start time?
I have question on the Ambush Scenario--
I assume that the attacker moves a squadron onto the board, then the defender gets an activation and so on.
The alternative is the attacker does all his activations first. That makes "ambush" sense.
So one way you get a 25% penalty for one free shot and a choice of where to attack.
The other way --ouch!
Either seems whacky. so convince me otherwise.
How has this worked out in games?

The Convoy scenario- wow 50% Coming on piecemeal  The attackers don't get swacked? I assume a section gets overwhelmed. But a reasonable set up mens most of the defense will get in--no?
