I love the idea of using an upside down cruiser for the gondola/superstructure.
Seemed like the easiest approach, though removing the superstructure to fit the tube fuselage was a pain.
well, I can't share any pictures at present but . . . Good news and bad news.
Bad news; Since someone on FB created an STL file for a much closer creation, the chap I was building this for decided to go ahead with one of those. can't blame him - It's a gorgeous piece of work and well worth searching for it on the DW FB pages. he shared it several times. . . . But well, you know.
Good news: I have all but finished mine, just waiting on cash to build up for some props from Shapeways to do the last touch. I will be running it as a Redtail Class for the Royal Australian and NZ fleet, with modifications to carry either four Crocodile Assault boats or a good supply of mines. I'm pleased enough with it and will get pictures to you as soon as certain
inconveniences resolve themselves.
