I remember the blog post from April 1st, and the speculation over Spartan releasing Martian tri-pods for DW or just hoaxing us with an "April Fool's" tease.  But here they are!

I'm glad to see these guys get the light of day, even if it did take longer than expected for them to arrive. Very neat looking models, as usual! I might end up ordering a set, just for kicks and giggles. Might be pretty easy to paint, too; I would probably give them a metallic base coat, a ink wash, and a little detail painting.

Very cool!

But I'm actually quite interested in the Planetfall stuff.  I've been reading the rules, but I'm wondering what the cards look like, etc.

I don't know if this is the most recent official version, but this is what I've got. Note that it is v2.0 - I'm not sure if they ever did release anything for v2.5.

There's probably fan-bred versions of the rules out there, though.

 Excellent! I noe there are a lot of these sets available at reasonable ( For a given definition of that word ) prices around and about. . . . And some of us already have sets, so this is quite useful.

They will need a 2.5 and 3.0 update since Spartan has died before it could and Warcradle have said that the Tripods don't fit with their vision of invading aliens who are either Spirit alien body snatchers, shape shifting greys, or evil juice producing hiveminds.
