Brexit vs Spartan
« on: June 17, 2016, 11:00:23 am »
I've finally been reading up on Brexit, and I'm wondering how a vote to leave the EU might affect Spartan?

On one hand, easing back employment regs might mean Neil can finally hire more full-timers.

On the other hand, if housing prices plunge, that could spur yet another British recession and hurt the Spartan bottom line.
Also, the UK removing itself from the free trade zone would almost surely make getting product out of the UK even MORE expensive. That would allow pricier competitors like DSC, and presumably a future BFG re-release, to seem much more reasonable in comparison.

Maybe I just worry too much... :-)

Dale, you've got 6 days to place your order before the prices go up.  Or down.  Or stay the same.

I at least need to order the new Tourney kits...

My understanding is that Neil is independently wealthy, and Spartan Games was started to give him something to do after an early retirement. So, a Brexit and a possible recession might not impact the company as much as we fear. Who knows, though!
