« on: September 15, 2019, 02:19:21 pm »
I ran into the guy who has this shop at our local con last month.  Thought I'd share the link for anyone interested.

His 3D printer Cruel Seas models look great. Once we get settled in Northern Virginia I hope to find a 3D print on demand and start getting some of his ships. I am dying to find someone who prints a WWII period TREASURY Class cutter or a THETIS class cutter. I have a hankering to run convoys in the North Atlantic.

Thanks for the link! I am VERY interested in getting a 3D printer of some kind in the next year or so. Leaning towards an SLA printer, as I would  mostly be printing small ship models with it  8)

I've been very pleased with my Anycubic Photon.  Great quality, and easy to use.

I also have an Anycubic Photon S with the dual z-axis rails, and it is a great value for printing small scale models.  There is a steep learning curve when it comes to the orientation of the model on the build plate and the placement of supports, but the level of detail you can achieve with resin printing is worth it.

With intelligence, anyone can operate a 3D printer,
With knowledge, one can determine the best subjects for 3D printing,
But with wisdom, you can convince a friend to purchase a 3D printer and operate it on your behalf
