Much like his comments about the ships at the demo games.

 Two questions arise -

 1. Why release art that will never see shape as miniatures? Especially as there seems to be no discussion on said art, given the past Warcradle policy of "No correpsondence will be entrered into"?

 2. Can artwork that bears no resemblence to finished product really be considered a "sneak preview"? Sounds more like an excercise in "here's the direction we might head in" than any kind of "preview".

I just feel sorry for the marketing and studio managers getting dragged to Richard's desk and Richard going full J Jonah Jameson 'Get me pictures!  Get me pictures of Spaceships!'

Something tells me J. Jonah Jameson wouldn’t know anything about spaceships.  :D

I’m interested to see where Warcradle goes with Firestorm. I never got into it like I did Dystopian Wars, so I never developed the emotional attachment to the game that I did DW. Meaning if they come out with radical changes to what the game was previously, I wouldn’t mind as much.

While I'd prefer an advance of the setting forward twenty or thirty years to outright 're-invention' by the creative minds who thought chi vampires were a good idea, the model redesigning doesn't seem as big an issue when FSA has had a couple.  I think if they can look emergent as an evolution that would be great though.

Richard didn't get where he is today informing his people in a timely fashion! ( Any English readers here? No? No original Reginald Perrin fans? No? . . . Oh well )

I guess this is the promised news about Firestorm Armada?

https://blog.warcradle.com/blog/2019/8/warcradle-studios-diary-4

Scroll to the bottom after the Dystopian Wars stuff. Not a bad look for the new Dindrenzi ships. Almost looks like they took some inspiration from the Cylon Resurrection Ships from the BSG reboot, and maybe the Necromongers from the Chronicles of Riddick.

They mention a FSA beta this year along with a reveal of the new fluff.  The Dridenzi seem more  19th century American self reliance and manifest destiny, but Stuart was very vague on the Terrans and seemed offended by me pressing too hard so we better wait and see on the new background.

Yeah. Again I never had much skin in the game with FA, so I’m ok with some changes. Will be interesting to see how this develops. I’m hoping they’ll make it more different from DW than the two games were under Spartan.

Liked the look of the ships, seem okay to me. Um.. am more curious at the Fsa fluff and how Directorate look as was more invested in Fsa due to getting play it alot more. The jap designs seem okay too as look lke could fit in with the old dystopian wars models.
