Base size for the light frigate

So in Taskforce the frigates come with a really small base. When you port them over to Armada do you still keep them on the small base or put them on the normal size base for a frigate. I'm just asking because I got one of the box sets but not to impressed with the taskforce rules but found the download for putting them i.to Armada.

I used the smaller (20mm, I think) based for my Wayfarer light frigates at Adepticon and no one batted an eye. The general rule of thumb is to use the bases that came with the models, so you should be fine to keep them on the small bases.

I have seen tournament rules posted that insist on models using the bases they came with because of this.

As long as they are applied consistently (no mix of large and small bases, no mix of tall and short pegs) I would have no problem with it.

Out of curiosity, what is your concern with pegs of various heights? I'm fond of mixing them in squadrons for visual interest.
