I'll be free the last two weekends in September. It might be good to try Enchanted Grounds again, for those of us who didn't see it last month.

I'm still out for the count till October, but I'll be more than ready to be victimized by the dice-witches among us (I do love that term).

By the way, on my way home today I noticed that Crit Castle looks like it closed.  Turns out that it moved to the SE corner of Alameda and Chambers.

There are two variants of the orb.  One has just generators, but the other has the Time Flow generator AND an energy blast weapon that has a 360 fire arc and does 3d6 AD at RB 1 and RB2, and 1d6 AD at RB 3.  It's one of those "ignore at your own peril" units.

Just got my Support Flotilla and was looking over the models and, I have two questions about the orb:

1.   Is there any ruling on which drop-in generator to use with which version?  The Spartan store only calls them "tall"  and "short" generators.

2.  (more of a clarification really)  Reading the latest CoA Force list, it reads that the Alpha/Time Orb has both the Dilation Field Generator & Teleportation Generator at no cost, while the Beta/Battle Orb has a Time Flow Generator, Shield Generator and Energy Blast all also at no cost.  am I reading that right or is there another rule somewhere that I'm forgetting?

Any plans for a meet up in November?

I was just thinking we haven't updated this thread in awhile.

What does the group think about a meetup in November? I know both November and December are tricky due to the holidays.

Stephan mentioned doing another Martian Dystopian game on Tanksgiving at the Haven.

The weekend before or after Thanksgiving could work for me. But, as Landlubber said, it can get busy for people. What about the weekend of the 8th or 15th?

I wasn't part of the martian game last year. Sounds like fun to me!

For those of us not in the know (correct me if I'm wrong) I believe Tanksgiving falls on or around the weekend of Black Friday.

It falls on Black Friday, the day after Thanksgiving.  We can try for something in addition to Tanksgiving.  I just mentioned that since it'll be the first I've been able to attend in a long time. I can probably do something the weekend of Nov 14th.

I could do the 14th, but not Thanksgiving weekend.

So...the 14th? How does that sound to everyone? If we can come to a consensus over the next couple days, I can start securing a venue.

Also, if we're doing the Martian scenario, how many points should we each bring? I'll defer to Stephan on this--I can't remember how many we each had last time. And I think we'll need to bring land, air, or skimmers, correct? Because the Martians are a land and air force...so no true naval models. Those of us who run French, PLC, Ottoman, and Chinese forces can bring our ships, however.

The 14th works for me. Time for some fire skimmers!
