Denver Area Gamers Scheduling Thread
« on: June 04, 2014, 12:45:14 am »
I figured the gamers in the greater Denver area can use this thread to schedule game meet ups.  We had talked earlier about meeting at Collectormania in Parker in July.  I won't be free until the weekend of the 19th, so if you guys want to meet earlier than that, I understand.  Our first meeting was a lot of fun (except for Mark's Russians manhandling my French), and I'm looking forward to more games with you guys!

Oooh, I still need to pick that up.  I think I'm going to order the Shadowhunter boxed set.

My Shadowhunter box should arrive today (along with a bunch of other stuff I didn't really need, but I sure wanted)! Boys, I have a problem...

Anyways, I think the 19th should work fine for me.  Maybe on the south end of town, Collectormaia perhaps (only one I know about down there).

And yah, it was fun for my comrades to sink a few of your ships (the Eclairs!), but I got very lucky and I am sure I burned a lot of karma as the dice gods smiled upon me when I targeted your carrier and battleship!

I still need to write up that battle action...

All things considered, a resin problem isn't that bad a problem to have.  Unless you're grinding up the ships and huffing the dust...that might be an issue...

So, sounds like our next meetup is 19 July at Collectormania.  Sounds like a plan to me.

Yeah, glad you had fun punching holes in my Frogs.  I'm bringing my FSA next time.  We'll see how your vodka-soaked gunners handle American steel! :)

And some of your Tennessee class whiskey!  Maybe I'll bring something other than Russians...  I have yet to play with my EoBS or Covenants.  Need to keep you on your toes!

Oh and got my Shadow Hunter box yesterday, me likey!

Got to see the 2.0 box contents last night...played my first 2.0 game as well, against the Prussians.  It was a victory for the FSA, but only by a hair.  Lots of sunken/damaged ships on both sides.  But I do like the new rules.

Gave it a quick glance last night, will pour over it more this weekend.  I like what I see so far and the new models are great!

So, Stephan has other commitments on 19 July, and he is proposing we meet at Collectormania on either 12/13 July or 26/27 July.  I can't make it the weekend of 12/13 July, but that shouldn't hold you guys up from meeting if that works best for the rest of you.  Any thoughts?

I'm outta town on the 12, so that's no good for me.  I'm still good the 19th and the 26th/27th look good as well at this point (it may change).  I'd be up for doing both weekends if anyone else is game.

I can't do the 19th since I've got my daughters that weekend, but I could do something 26th/27th if anyone is interested.  I haven't played 2.0 yet, but I've been looking over the rules in prep.
