Wave 1 of my Blazing Sun fleet is done!

These are the last models that I planned on finishing before our impending house move. It will probably be a couple of weeks before my hobby space is back up an running again!

Ruckdog, these Blazing Sun ships look incredible. Some of the best I’ve seen you do in my opinion.
Your weathering is spot on, something that I’ve found can be tough to get correct at this scale.

Dang fine-looking ships you have there Ruckdog. Very nice work!

What is the Japanese character on the back end of the flight deck?

That’s the katakana character for “Ka.” Effectively, it’s the “first letter” of the ship’s name, to aid friendly planes in finding the right ship to land on. I based it on IJN historical practice 😉.

Very nice!

Are you using a lightbox or something like that for your pictures?

For all but the big group shot, yes. It's a small portable kit that my wife got for me a few years ago:

It's not the most well made, but for what I use it for, it gets the job done ;).

Cool. That's one of the tricky things for me--getting the right light on the miniatures for pictures.
