1/2400 Tirpitz and Friends

http://yarkshiregamer.blogspot.co.uk/2017/02/12400-tirpitz-and-friends.html

A rare foray into 1/2400 WW2 Naval for me today, having huge 1/3000 collections for the period the need and of course cost of starting a fresh in a larger scale is out of the question.

It was nice then to put these together for a friend for a display game for Tirpitz and her final action.

GHQ of course with a nice addition to my WW1 collection included on the blog post.

Looking good Ken! You've almost got me wanting to give these models a try...would you recommend GHQ for this scale and subject? Are there other model makers out there besides GHQ?

Hi,

GHQ stuff is great however there are lots of factors to consider when choosing

How much do you want to spend ?
How big an area do I have to game in  ?
What size games do I want ?

My WW2 Collections are all in 1/3000 scale, these are 1/2400 and specifically for a friend and for a very specific game. Having done WW1 in 1/2400 and having massive WW2 Collections I can't see me doing more of these unless they are for others.

Another US company  C in C make WW2 stuff in this scale, not sure of any others as it's not my field.

Cheers Ken
