And on Gumroad, among a range of useful 28mm figures for certain skirmish games involving stellar conflicts ( Hint, hint :D ) is this nice little fleet -

Looks great! The Dhow-style sails make it a lot easier to see all the work you put into the crew for these.

Once again, superlative work on the models there.

Looking great! Possibly the terrain pieces are better for this approach that the ships, given how the sails interfere with the view.

 Very cool addition.

Has FF completely dropped the game, though? I heard all sorts recently about limited schedules, etc.

Because I really need more models to paint.

 I suspect sarcasm there.

But looking at the Murmansk box set, that does seem to be the result of buying one.

I see the new version of the Murmansk is coming out in a  huge support box set, and the first Ottomans as well.

Had a busy time of it lately, and only just caught up with this podcast . . . . All I can say is, after hearing your guest talk about the paucity of coverage of the US gaming community ( As opposed to the many great companies that promote themselves well ), the need for a practical magazine that has something in it all readers can find to apply to the tabletop ("Practical Wargamer" how we miss you!), and finally someone else saying that Dirtside2 and Full Thrust need more love, then all I can say is "Your opinions intrigue me, and I would like to subscribe to your newsletter" :)

Who knows? I might even dust off the keyboard and write a few articles - Some people liked my writing in the old "Ragnarok" the journal of the long-named Society Of Fantasy And Science Fiction wargamers (Again, long defunct and mourned).

Some people may be familiar with long-term 3D sculptor artist Mr. Charles Oines, mainly in his work with Battletech computer games, and maybe less his not-OGRE vehicles for Microworld Games. Famously, he's been running  a store on Shapeways for some time, and has now decided that, while that store continues, he is selling the stl files for his fleets on a Gumroad store as single sets (Probably about as expensive as one large vessel from Shapeways) and all his civilian ships and stations as bundles as well for private printing.

Seems like some good deals - https://coines23.gumroad.com/?sort=page_layout

Ambitious project from a small company, Arcane Minis (Well known for supplying stls for game parts and components on MyMiniFactory) has a Kickstarter for the new exploration and combat game "Aldarra'.  A larger scale game than their existing "Skies of Sordane" or "Airship Campaigns", it features a wide variety of factions and has had some very positive reviews from testers and others with pre-release beta prototypes.

That's a very solid concept both as a stand-alone and as a strategic part of a conventional campaign - Reminds me of the Campaign game in the DW 2.5 rulebook (And as I passed a while ago on an eBay auction for a test casting of the markers for that game I'd be interested in this for the strategic assets markers alone. Wonder if they'll offer the sprues separately?

General Discussion / Re: Irregular Miniatures Aeronef

Style-wise, it looks like they would fit in with the Brigade range, though I'm not sure if the scaling is right.

Just judging by the bases, these look significantly smaller than ships of similar classes in Brigade's range - I might be  wrong, but that battleship looks to be about the size of a Brigade light cruiser, again simply by eyeball assuming those bases are about inch/25mm ones.  I could be wrong, as I have never laid eyes or hands on them in real life (Have dealt with Irregular though, Excellent company for mail order service, and cheap miniatures that are plain but nicely sculpted.).
