Ruckdog, thanks for the invite.  My submission (and first post here)... War at Sea Lexington modified and repainted as a late-war Saratoga:

Looks good! I need you to pick just one pic to be your entry, though.

My official entry:  the FSAS Ticonderoga, my Valley-class large airship from the Federated States of America (Dystopian Wars).

Note: this collage was put together using the Pic Stitch app.  I have made a few adjustments to each picture for contrast, brightness, saturation, and sharpness; these edits were made mostly to fix some of the drawbacks of using an iPhone camera.  The middle picture on the bottom was edited in Instagram for dramatic effect.  If this in any way is against the contest rules, I can submit a non-edited version. Also, this is technically one image, consisting of four different pictures; but if this does not fit the rules, please let me know and I'll edit the post.

Thanks!

Nothing wrong with any of that! Thanks for the entry.

Here's my entry - IJN Shinano, done in an island cammo scheme similar to Zuiho, Unryu or Amagi:

This is the latest from the Danaussie Shipyards guys, and also my submission for the Man Battlestations Painting Contest. I was having trouble logging in but it was more than likely a problem from my end. This is a model from the Axis & Allies - War at Sea Collection of the USS Montana as she would have appeared in 1945, of course although hulls were laid down for these monsters, none were ever completed. The United States Navy had already made the Battleship obsolete by the end of WWII proving beyond any doubt that the Aircraft Carrier was to become the new Queen of the Sea. Battleships were to slowly fade into history, we may only see this beauty as she appears here as a model replica of what might have been.

This model is painted with Citadel (GW) & Vallejo Artists Acrylics, all techniques as is the standard in which I paint by are used, with extra focus on dry-brushing, washes and inks and hi-lighting to achieve maximum depth. No modelling tape is used to recreate the MS 32 Camouflage.

This model is base-coated in a darkened Codex Grey, followed by a Badab Black Wash before a dry brush in a lightened Fortress Grey. The model then recieves a futher wash in a lightened Badab Black before the final hi-lights are added including the camouflage measure. The Camouflage Measure 32 uses a lightened Shadow Grey and Darkened Shadow grey to create the two shades of blue/grey, USN Deck Blue. Also used in the camo are Chaos Black and "Dirty White" this is Skull White mixed with 2 drops of Chaos Black. The deck receives a darkened Shadow Grey before a Badab Black Wash and finaly a hi-light of the original color.

It took a while to do, but I was very proud of this one and I am happy to enter it into the Man Battlestations Painting Contest. There are some magnificent entries by all the artists here so first let me say well done guys and the very best of luck to all participants.

Thank You :) :) :)

She looks great! I'm going to use the first pic (the one with the subtitles) as your official entry, if you have no objections ;)

Hey guys, nothing like skating in at the last moment! I just picked these up recently and finished them tonight so I thought well what better debut then here! Sorry for the poor picture and resizing but I hope you enjoy. Congrats to everyone on making it to a year and good luck!

I have for you here a Tau Explorer class starship with a group of Defender class ships escorting her. All of these are from Games Workshop's Specialist Games range Battlefleet Gothic. Thank you for looking.

I don't make the rules, I just think them up and write them down.

Greetings to all...

CRS-1 Mikasa

Unit: Crucible Army/ Ryūjin (龍神) Division – Elite Naval Sec Ops Unit
Ship Class: Sokotsu Class Battleship
OIC: Capt. Shioiri Shunsui

The ship is painted in similar colors to those listed here. http://manbattlestations.com/forum/index.php?topic=300.0
The lower insert is a night time shot underway with the towers "on" as you can see the glow under UV light.  I would had made it larger but the contest is for the paint, not the effects.
