Ruckdog's Blazing Sun Project
« on: August 06, 2017, 10:26:37 pm »
Now that I've got the Team Yankee project more or less tied up, it's time to move onto the next one!

I've started working on an Empire of the Blazing Sun fleet for Dystopian Wars. I've just finished the test model for the scheme I'm going to use:

Here is the rest of the fleet so far:

Welp, I'm not going to let a small thing like Spartan Games going out of business to keep me from painting!

I've made some progress on my Blazing Sun force. I've gotten some of the metallics  the decks, and the red highlights have been base coated. Next up, I have the copper/brass metallics, and then it will be time for the washes.

Well, I managed to get the first batch done before I had to break down my modeling space for the move. Here is the thread with the pics of the finished models:

I've got another batch of  models to work on, but I won't be able to start on those for a while yet until I get my hobby space set back up!

Time for the second wave! This time around, its the contents of one of the old Mk. 1 starter fleets (except for the metal bombers, which I'm saving for later).

So far, I've gotten them prepped, primed, air brushed, and the decks painted:
