Updated with the results of Game 2! My Blazing Sun managed to claw back some of the defecit from my disastrous loss in Game 1, but the FSA is still in the overall lead. The full report will be up on the blog soon!
Game 3 will be played tomorrow, with the Prussians entering the fray in full force.

Just read the report from Game 2 . . . Well, that was a rugged for the FSA was it not?
Shows how initiative is often the key to DW 2.5 games IMHO; Even with the bad rolls, the EotBS really had the upper hand every step of the way against the FSA and all those telling hits until the BB showed it's face were what finally decided the game it seems.
Maybe the FSA not having the little . . . Incident with the island might have made a difference, though :) Still, an exciting game - Well done both of you!

All good - I'm just impatient :)
Be interesting to see how others experience with the 2.5 game is coming along- Been playing almost a weekly 1000 point game here locally, and the play is very different from 2.0 I find.

Great game! Would have been quite different results I think if the 2.5 rules for Stratospheric Movement hadn't been introduced I guess. Still, a great win for the FSA here, though not surprising given the tonnage and that presence of that submarine :)

That submarine was good fun, and I was not aware of it's reputation at the time of use. Andy and I had discussed me using it for a game (maybe 2, we'll see how my list for operation Gitmo Bay looks).
The Deathbringer was good (knocked out a CL, FF and finished the BB), but I think the Liberty carried the Lion's share of the load that game.
The shield (3) and Sustained fire 3 on turrets gives even an unlinked shot a good chance to put damage on a large model.

And, as I said at the time when we were playing, I’d much rather face a Deathbringer than an FSA Dreadnought, which is what the “historical” OOB for the scenario calls for! ;D

And again, even with the seriously unbalanced points costings, initiative seemed to be the turning factor here; I'd have thought the John Hernrys would have given the Prussian air wing some pause for thought, but sadly no. That free 4 VP was handy, but having Meeya Meefla* so fragile as well was just a gift to the Prussians here.
I suspect this scenario was made to be a story arc, so that the players are driven towards a resolution rather than have a chance of changing the plot as it were. Still, it's one most RPGs do far more subtly, as do most war game scenarios. Though from the outside, it must make for an exciting looking game I'll say that :)
Roll on the Battle of Gitmo! Still behind the FSA to pull one out! 8)

Splendid report! Agree that the scenario looks far better balanced, though without those reserves the fight was swiftly decided. I'd like to see a reply where those units do arrive, though I'd not bet heavily on the EotBS and Prussians winning even then.
