General Discussion / WW 2 top down plane counters for games query
« on: December 18, 2018, 09:44:58 am »
I need your help. Any one know of a webpage that has color top down drawings of USN & IJN float planes and flying boats for free downloads to use in naval war games? Some years ago (15-18) I had found such a site and used it as a file in my computer, but now I have lost the file and can not remember the webpage. I hope some one here might know of it or a similar site. I was hoping to print out some USN PBY, Kingfisher and Grumman Ducks along with IJN Flying boats and float plane and float Zero counters for war games. I look forward to your replies and I did check Junior General Paper Soldiers site and came up empty.

Halo: Fleet Battles / Shapeways 3D printed Halo Fleet Battles ships
« on: October 06, 2018, 10:24:11 am »
I figured I should let the Halo Fleet battles folks here know the Squireyoung on Shapeways has some great Halo Fleet Battles ships. For the UNSC he has:

UNSC Vindication class battleship
UNSC Halycon cruiser
UNSC Strident frigate
UNSC Gladius Corvette

For the Covenant he has:

CRS light cruiser

These ships look great and paint up well. You will have to add your own bases and flight pegs. These ships are very affordable also. I suggest you go to Shapeways, type in Squireyoung company and check out his Halo Fleet Battles ships for your selves. I have added them to my fleets.

I do not own a digital camera so can not show you, but they are small under hull plates. Maybe 2 inches long.

Halo: Fleet Battles / Re: halo fleet battles price query
« on: August 12, 2018, 09:31:56 am »
on shapeways I typed in Halo fleet battles UNSC ships and up popped a few. Some stated they were fleet battles scale and one guy who is very pricey does not list the scale of his ships. Covenant was only three ships and two are FB scale. Hope that helps you? I did purchase some strident frigates from a guy named Young ($5.00 a ship and cast in clear plastic) that are great sculpts. I also picked up from him a Poseidon and Vindication from him ($5.00 & $14.00) sculpted in clear plastic. From another guy named Burples I picked up in soft white plastic a Valiant ($9.00) and a Covenant heavy destroyer ($16.00) Great sculpts. Hope that helps.

Halo: Fleet Battles / halo fleet battles price query
« on: August 09, 2018, 09:25:19 pm »
I am sorry to say that I got bit by the halo fleet battles bug long after Spartan Games went belly up and all the products were pulled from hobby shop shelves. I was wondering if some one here could tell the prices of some box sets as they were on the hobby shelves.
Items such as:

UNSC Autumn box set
UNSC Halcyron box set
UNSC Halberd box set
Covenant APD escort ship box set

I thank you in advance for your help. I have only seen the UNSC ship on Shapeways and the prices seem way over priced so I was wondering what Spartan had them for back in the day.

If any member here owns from Spartan Games the UNSC Valiant and Covenant heavy destroyer, I need your help. I purchased mine off Ebay. I have the stat cards for them, but not the flight stand overlays for them. If you could PM me please and I will send you my email so that if you would be so kind as to email me a scan of the overlays please. I thank you in advance for your help in this matter.

Halo: Fleet Battles / halo fleet battles miniature
« on: August 06, 2018, 07:48:44 pm »
I got into this game only six (6) weeks ago and love it. now for the bad news. I was only able to pick up the starter game and now that Spartan went belly up almost a year ago, I am unable to purchase any other ship miniatures unless I wish to go to Shapeways and pay thru the nose prices for ships that are not cast in gold, but should be for the price. Any chance some one is going to re-cast the ships and sell them at a price we can afford? Or, did I get into another dead game? (sort of like I did with All Quiet on the Martian Front last year) A shame though for I really like the game and love what models I have. I would just like to get more ships and not break the bank or have my wife kill me in my sleep when she see's what I paid for a model. Please forgive the rant, but I would like your thoughts. BTW, I did try Ebay and the prices there were worse than Shapeways. I had heard before I got into the game that the Paris Class frigates where always in surplus but trying to find some one willing to part with a few is like try to win the lottery.
