Title: Broadside Empires of Steel
Post by: Ruckdog on November 02, 2022, 11:00:10 am
Another naval wargaming KS! This one is interesting for being both a print-and-play game as well as having a WWI theme.

Just checked out their sample ship print files, and they have several versions of the Queen Mary / turrets included to allow for the different capabilities of printers which was a thoughtful touch.

Also, their fleet building page seems like it is really well put together.

For anyone needing more information than is on the current Kickstarter page, the authors have more image galleries, missions, and most importantly video on the phases of gameplay on the website below.  It may have been in one of the prior campaigns linked to this one, but I was having problems navigating between the earlier releases and the present.

Very tempting, however I made my first KS backing in years, and it was successful ( I financed the Stork Heavy VTOL Lifter from Kore Games, and received three at a third the price of the main release - Pretty chuffed : 8) and since I run at about 50% success rate I think i will with massive regret, pass on this.

It is very tempting, I will grant that.

I am probably in the same state of mind...I'm trying to dial back my KS addiction lol. I hope that the team behind this game will put their rules up for sale separately! I'd happily buy a pdf of them off Wargame Vault or similar.
