We are fast approaching the 100th anniversary of the largest battleship engagement of all time...The Battle Of Jutland! I know of at least one event that will celebrate it. The US Naval War College in Newport, RI will be re-fighting the battle:

Thanks for posting this Ruck, I'll have to give it a read later.
I had planned to read a book about Jutland on/about the anniversary, but my WW1 reading has been slightly derailed of late (just finished the latest Gaunt's Ghosts book, working on the second Honor Harrington book). I really need to read books on Jutland, Verdun, and the Somme this year, as the hundredth anniversaries of each of those events will be in 2016.

I'm saddened just how little I know about this, and am reminded once again how much my High School History Dept. failed me (with only one notable exception for Medieval History).
