Title: The World Wars (History Channel)
Post by: Landlubber on May 25, 2014, 04:26:30 pm
In case you hadn't heard, this is premiering on Memorial Day on the History Channel:

I know, I know--actual history on the History Channel!  That doesn't involve logging!  Or hunting for Bigfoot or Nazi treasure!

I'll definitely be tuning in for this.  When I read Coffman's The War to End All Wars last year, I thought it was very interesting to read about people like Captain George Patton and Major Dwight Eisenhower.  Most people are accustomed to thinking about them in their WW2 roles, but their lives and careers were shaped by the events of WW1.

Hopefully the show is worth the watch!
