Inside of a large manila envelope were the "soft" materials for the starter fleets, including assembly instructions and reference sheets.

Bases! Most of the bases, along with the Hawk tape measure and dice, were collected into these two bags.

Battlecruisers! Each BC came as cruiser sprue with resin upgrade pieces included inside the bag.

Packed with the rulebook were the quickplay sheets for the starter set, along with the punch-out clusters, the map, and the token sheet.

I couldn't help but compare the DFC book to another space game that also opted for a horizontal-format rule book!

Interestingly, the new DFC rule book is slightly larger than the old BBB.
